Okay, so the art work for Katsushika Hokusai and Pieter Breughel is drying downstairs, and I’m writing the biographies for Gisbert Combaz, Kazimir Malevich, Piet Mondrian (has an exhibition in Liverpool at the moment), Hugo Simberg and Kosoman Moser…must check if I’ve done Privat Livemont. Concentrate, this can be the tedious part, but these are people’s lives, and many were sent down the medical or legal route, because that’s what you did, before putting their feet down and saying ,’No!’ I want to draw and paint and follow this need….and so, they are inspiring, because they have not taken what could be seen as the easy route. It isn’t the easy route, the easy route is creating when that is what you are driven to do. The hard decision is going against what those around you are telling you to do. So, come on Ruth, be inspired, not only by these artists’ creations, but also about them as human beings.
